As you may already know, over the years there have been a few accepted ways to calculate rim ERD. In the past some people used inner diameter + wall thickness x 2 + nipple head height x 2 = ERD

However with more and more different types of nipples on the market, and the popular method of measuring ERD changing to eliminate nipple head height from the calculation, Spank has updated all our models. On all rims produced from Q3 2013, we will use the following ERD calculation: inner diameter + wall thickness x 2 = ERD ++

The ++ callout is to show that you must "plus" the nipple head heights yourself when calculating spoke lengths.
