It is hard for me to recommend one courier over the other because it depends on the region where you live. In some places they work with local partners which work better than in others.

If you are not sure whether DPD would work best in your region, I think it is best for you to choose DHL as it shouldn't be very difference and it is cheaper outside Germany. In some cases it may even be better than DPD.
