Hi

My wheel has a worn out freehub body, does anyone knows from where to order a new freehub for this?

The hub reads LITE and the freehub reads IIP, those wheels are from a Nishiki bike, any help would be appreciated!

I would contact either a local knowledgeable retailer of Nishiki or the Finnish importer, Tunturi-Hellberg, directly. Retailers can be found at https://www.nishiki.fi/jalleenmyyjat/ and an email for Tunturi at the bottom of the page.

Count spokes and order any hub with same amount of spokes. Or get all new wheelset.

I have already a new wheelset, but It would be very nice to get this fixed, except the freehub body everything else is in very good shape.

I found that there are more LITE branded parts on Nishiki bikes, does anyone knows the link to this LITE parts manufacturer?

have a look at this bike?

I could be wrong, but I don't think LiTE is actually any single manufacturer or company, but a brand name that is used on Nishiki bike parts sourced from different OEM manufacturers. If Tunturi-Hellberg or their retailers aren't able to provide the part, personally I would do as maalinni suggested earlier and just get a whole new wheel. You can get one in (probably) much better quality for a bit over 60 euros from various webstores.

Thank you Twinning, I have already a new wheel set, but I took this overhaul as a challenge as I really like those wheels.

After opening the hub I could find a seal and the marking "Formula" in it. So it seems like Formula manufactured those hubs for Nishiki, I have found on the net from where to buy the needed parts but I need to find also the 11mm hex tool to remove the free hub body from the hub.

Tunturi-Hellberg has not answered, and it has been a week already since I asked.

What's wrong with the freehub, how is it "worn"? Are the bearings worn out or what?

The freehub itself is has a grinding noise and has a lot of play, that of course affects shifting and If continue using it like that it might seize.

Finally I received the freehub body, including the 11 mm tool to remove it.

Nice. In case you're still monitoring the thread, in the end how did you find out that the particular freehub body was compatible with your wheel?

I did a have a close look at the freehub body without removing it ( because I did not have the tool) and then just wrote "freehub body" in ebay. After a lot of searching the I did find something similar, and then realized that it must be that. I took the risk and purchased it.

By the way I did purchase also some bearings (1/8" china ball bearings, hopefully ok) so I pretend to overhaul the freehub body (and some other shimano freehubs) just for the fun of it ( I have a tool for opening the freehub body and I have loosen it, to loosen it you have to have it mounted in the hub). Can I eliminate the play by replacing the bearings??
